Sector 36 is a gripping crime thriller from 2024. The cinema is directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and penned by Bodhayan Roychaudhury. Maddock Films and Jio Studios produced this Hindi-language movie. The entertainment piece features the talented Vikrant Massey, Deepak Dobriyal, and Akash Khurana in the lead roles. The story draws inspiration from the chilling 2006 Noida serial murders. Yes, it’s based on True Story as it claims.

So here is what I liked and disliked about the movie-

Things I Liked From Sector 36

The Narrative –

Ram Charan Pandey, was once a corrupt and oblivious cop. The city was undergoing a series of children go missing. However, he finally takes a stand, when his own daughter narrowly escapes an attack. It pushes him to face the city’s unclear and scary side. Nonetheless, this set him on a path to justice.

The Characters –

Ram Charan Pandey and Prem Sign are the main characters of the movie. Ram Charan was a corrupt cop. However, when he was about to lose his daughter in front of his eyes, his fatherhood lit up the cop inside him. That drives him to transform into a positive character, for whom I rooted till the end.

On the other hand, Prem a committed husband, a devoted servant, and a protective father is one behind all the children missing in Sector 36 Delhi. He has his past responsible for his current dark life. More into him will reveal a lot about the movie. So, watch it right now.

The Actors –

I had high hopes for both Deepak and Vikant. Honestly, they were superb in their portrayal of these two characters. I simply was mesmerized by their expressive flawless performance. They were true to the characters given to them and I appreciate their work in the movie.

Apart from these two, Akash Khurana, Darshan Jariwal, and the rest were too good in their respective roles. There was nothing extra or underwhelming in their presentation of the characters. I liked each one of them.

The Direction –

Aditya Nimbalkar is the director of this must-watch movie. I appreciate the intricate direction which was successful in bringing out the dark tense and grim atmosphere of Sector 36. I must also, add here, that the cinematography along with the music added in the background was also the essence of the movie. It was very thrilling.

Vikrant Massey Playing The Role

Vikrant Massey is a versatile actor. I have known him ever since he was a child actor. Now when I watched him playing a dark, sick, and disturbed man behind the fearsome events, I felt sad and bad. I know this is the job of being an actor, however, he gave a superb performance, leaving me awestruck.

While Concluding

I appreciate the movie for showing the audience the dark side of a so-called safe society. This offers us ample information and some basic guidance on how to be safe and secure. Overall, the movie was engaging, suspenseful and thrilling. I would say, that not a second went to waste. I appreciate the entire production for creating such content.

I would love to give the movie –

Rating: 5 out of 5.
