Welcome back to TOTT my dear TOTTers. Today I am back with Tekken Bloodline(2022) review, just for you all.
So, Tekken Bloodline is an absolutely recent launch on Netflix which is typically inspired by Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Tekken fighting game. In addition, the narrative has taken a slight chance of adapting its base, from Tekken 3. Now, the anime has only 6 episodes which run for around 23- 27 minutes.
So, should you be watching this newly released anime in the first place or not?

Things You Might Have Liked or Disliked About Tekken Bloodline(2022)
As I mentioned already, that the narrative of the plot is based on Tekken 3 where Jun Kazama, the mother of the lead Jin Kazama, meets an unprecedented death in the hands of an Ogre. This provides a solid motive for Jin to seek revenge and train himself in the process. The hardcore training to become a fighter to beat the Ogre was undertaken under Heihachi Mishima Jin’s grandfather who is a very mysterious, strong, and brutal human being.
After four years of relentless training, Jin achieved the body and mental state to compete with other strong opponents in a long-lost tournament which was then hosted by his grandfather and now also. In his presence in the tournament, he learns numerous facts and rumors circulating around about his father and grandfather which he somehow manages not to affect him.
He wins the ultimate fight, even fights his grandfather and lastly the Ogre who killed his mother. The demon gene in his veins offers him tremendous power and this leads him to attain a demonic stature when the show ends, where he takes off and leaves everything behind.
The narrative started off pretty casual, a young boy enraged by the death of his only parent and family member which is purely relatable. This rage helps him train, learn and practice everything that his mother and grandfather taught him. Yes, this was not an easy path that he took. But this protagonist was determined to reach the height to defeat and kill the demon who killed his mother in front of him changing his entire life.
Now to some extent, it might appear similar to SNK, where Eren watches his mother being eaten alive by a Titan. This enrages the kid which ultimately turns him into the Devil from Paradis Island. Eren too trains and becomes self-sufficient to actually learn and take everything in his hand as Jin does. Again have you noticed the similarity in the looks of Jin and Goku? Correct me if I am wrong.
However, the story of Tekken Bloodline(2022) is nice, interesting, very engrossing, and certainly amusing. I was totally into this action-packed yet story-driven anime which I would highly recommend you all to watch.

Jin though appears quite similar to Goku, however, is different from him a lot. Jin Kazama is a very calm, soft-spoken, not-so-cheery lad who has only one goal in mind, which is to fight and kill the ogre to avenge his mother. He is confident but chooses not to reveal so. He takes his competitions(Goku does so) very seriously and is not a war whore. He is a sincere fella who was forced to mature because of his mother’s shocking demise and his grandfather’s brutal training.
The other fighters for the tournament did not come up to that level as they looked. The rough & tough appearance was just a ploy played against the audience. Jin easily took every one of them down. However, his grandfather was a real beast. Also, a match with Paul went a miss, right? It had genuine potential.
Jun Kazama was the real deal though. She was a graceful lady who was strong, motivating, and definitely inspiring. Her wise words were not only limited to fighting but to tackling life chores too. She was amazing.
The secret life of Kazuya Mishima is something that certainly needs to unfold. The Mishima boys have a beasty instinct which Jin still lacks. But from the narratives that aired around, everybody despised Kazuya and everyone supported Heihachi for killing Jin’s dad.
The direction of the anime was done by Yoshikazu Miyao which was apt. It took off with an engaging pace and it remained the same until the very end which was genuinely great. Even the action sequences were absorbing, even for audiences like me who are not into the fighting genre.
Rei Kondoh composed the soulful tunes of this anime. The compositions beautifully added depth to the narrative while adding essence to the situations.
Studio Hibari along with Larx Entertainment developed this action anime. Although the animation might put you off at its beginning your vision will adjust with the graphics very soon.
