Things You Might Have Liked About The Batman(2022)

The Direction

Matt Reeves was superb in his directorial job. He intricately put the narrative in the most fascinating and engaging way for the matter. It was styled in the most intense pattern possible which stunningly helped us stick around with the movie until the very heroic end.

Additionally, the incorporation of the situations or similarities from Batman: The Animated Series affected many. It simply brought together the astonishing along with the adventurous time when the Millenials sat watching this wonderful animated show broadcasted on the Cartoon Network. It was simply spectacular.

Also, not forget, that Matt Reeves simply wanted to design the movie from another hidden perspective. He wanted to project the investigator side of this DC hero which is actually what we watched as kids from the Batman: The Animated Series(1992-1995).

His investigations inside Bat Cave while Alfred intervenes as and when required, assisting Bruce with the cases is what made us enjoy the series the best. And Matt Reeves arranged the idea in the same interesting style which was just fantastic.

The Actors

Starting from the lead, to moving forward with the minor characters, everyone just gave their best to depict what the 90s show actually stored. The attire, the essence, the set, the lighting, and the situations achieved a point of amplification with the actors giving their finest for the film. Robert Pattinson simply aced as Batman.

But the others, Zoë Kravitz playing Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Paul Dano playing Edward Nashton / Riddler, Jeffrey Wright playing James Gordon, John Turturro playing Carmine Falcone, and Andy Serkis playing Alfred Pennyworth were just precise on their tasks for the project.

However, Colin Farrell playing Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot / Penguin definitely deserves special applause. His performance was just out of the box and extraordinarily brilliant.

The Music

The somber, soothing, contradictory tunes were exceptionally employed by Michale Giacchino. He simply enhanced the narrative with the melodies. But when Batsy chases Penguin and is unstoppable amidst the heavy packed traffic and fire, the background score played, directly took us back to the old 90s show.

It gives goosebumps actually. Nonetheless, Michale Giacchino added the effect quite a number of times developing the content and amplifying the same in the most conceivable pattern.

The Script

Matt Reeves along with Peter Graig drafted the most appealing and agreeable script for the movie that simply made us get deeper into the plot. The lines were very cavernous while being charming, compelling, and interesting. This is another pointer that enhanced the narrative again.

The Cinematography

The camera work of the movie was just great. Yes, sometimes, Greg Fraser also took some unflattering shots of Batsy, but they appeared realistic and unedited. The uncomplimentary angles pretty much-added gravity to the situation while being very pragmatic if I am being honest, catching the most rational shots of the handsome Robert Pattinson. However, apart from this, the camerawork by Greg Fraser was very smooth. It was urgent, very convenient yet classy. The neat style of the art surely captured the interest level of the audience to the fullest.

Things You Might Not Have Liked About The Batman(2022)

Well, honestly, the unflattering shots that added gravity might disappoint you as well. Yes, the captures seemed rational in regard to the narrative, but they also appeared unfitting amidst the stylish essence of the movie. Nonetheless, the camerawork might look ignored as well as unprofessional which is however completely petty and can be easily looked over.

TOTT’s Take On The Movie

I just loved the content, it was deep, very meticulously build, and well-versed. The actors, the characters, the themes, the music, the cinematography, and everything about the same just rocked. Also, I would like to add, that this version of Batman was not a superhero movie, but a detective content that took the slow built-up style, just to deliver the audience one of the most authentic investigating plots for entertainment.

TOTT gives The Batman(2022) 4.5/5 STARTS.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
