Things You Might Have Liked About The BOYS Season 3

The Cast

Undoubtedly, the cast of the show gave their best. It was astoundingly good. The members didn’t leave the slightest space to criticize their performance in the show. But a special mention should be made in regard to the breathtaking execution of Homelander by Antony Starr. He straightforwardly gifted us his brilliant and stunning performance this season. He was superb.

The Characters

The characters of the series grew in their space pretty maturely. For instance, Hughie was not that whining boy anymore. He started looking at Butcher from a positive angle which was nice and of course warm. Starlight AKA Annie January was another character who grew out of her comfort zone.

Yes, she was cheating the management of Vought all this time, but this season she came out brave and courageous without fear of anything and yes even of Homelander.

But again her virtuous way of tackling the Supes seemed unlikely. It appeared impractical. Also, she along with MM sometimes appeared very annoying in the narrative. What’s your call?

Now Kimiko and Frenchie began another phase of life which was kind of a doze of a chill pill for the audience. However, Kimiko and Frenchie’s decision to leave the Boys might not seem cool amidst the crisis. But yeah again, Butcher was very rough this time.

The Apex Predator of the season was the glam quotient of the series, this year. They just showed us the good and the bad side of having superpowers. Butcher was using Super Power to eliminate Supes whom he despises the most in the world and he has solid reasons though.

On the other hand, the newest character of the season, Soldier Boy was a great deal. But because of Soldier Boy’s robust presence from the beginning till the end of the series, Homelander unwittingly showed us his vulnerable side.

But they were specifically amazing on their own on the screen which was great actually.

A-Train Finally understands the value of family and what it feels like to lose someone dear to the heart. Meanwhile, The Deep is back with his douchey practices, someone never learns.

Now talking about Ashley, she just received the best of luck ever. Yes, she is working under a whole lot of stress right now, which has turned her really bald, but she is the current CEO of Vought which is prestigious too.

She is working very minutely and efficiently at her pace while keeping a cordial distance from the Omni man of the series Homelander. But the goodness in her still remains intact which was nice to see.

Talking about Victoria Neuman, she is the primary concern after Homelander and Soldier Boy. Her powerful position in society is certainly an advantageous situation for her. But her capability as a Supe is what terrifies the Boys, especially Hughie. Her promotion which was announced by the end of the season, definitely adds a motive for the Boys to stay cautious.

The Story

The story of the season rationally centralized Soldier Boy and his achievements. His presence in the narrative gave Butcher along with Homelander to show the other side of their individuality which was obvious and pretty much needed.

The story of the season was good but could have been better if the last two episodes were managed proficiently. The show just jumped up to a high point at its most hyped-up episode ‘Herogasm’ but fell down, very peacefully and gently with a very not-so-effective ending with its last episodes.

They were not the typical The Boys narrative, hence felt incomplete. But if you keep aside the last two episodes, especially ep 8, then this season was typically bloody, gruesome, gooey, dark, very intense, and unpredictable like always.

The Direction

4 directors worked on the season therefore there is a subtle variation that is almost invisible. Phil Sgriccia, Julian Holmes, Nelson Cragg, and Sarah Boyd are the talent who decorated the project with their dexterity.

They just did, what the show needed and styled the narrative in the most convenient way possible to gift us the best. But again, the last two episodes were under Sara Boyd’s directorial job which could have been better.

What Else!!

The cinematography, the dialogues, the music, and the edits were the enhancers of the content. The individuals working under these departments gave their best and, of course, there is scope for improvement but you all were just amazing.

These people were the catalytic agents who gave their best to make the program once again one of the most absorbing, dark, intense, gory, and satirical superhero content, to entertain us thoroughly.

Also, not to forget the strong and powerful sequences that The Boys season 3, offered us were stunning too, isn’t it?

Things You Might Have Not Liked About The BOYS Season 3

The show began with a great start, but the angle where it ended was not at all satisfying. Well, when Soldier Boy addresses his relationship with John aka Homelander, the narrative takes a 360-degree turn with a bundle of possibilities to take place.

Ep 8 simply appeared very sudden and urgent. It felt kind of rushed by any means possible, thus it turned out pointless. What do you think?

TOTT’s Take On The BOYS Season 3

Yes, the season was very nice, each of the storylines that were created to advance the plot simply complimented the ideas. But however, Ep 8 and its frustrating ending might be a negative point that arose against the show.
