Things You Would Love In Jujutsu Kaisen 0

The Direction

Well, the weeb world has already witnessed the dextrous Park Sunghoo and his unique style of directing the anime series back in 2020. Along with Mappa as the studio representative, this movie just aced. You will enjoy every single moment.

However, the movie involves a slow and peaceful build-up(which was amazingly choreographed and one certainly doesn’t want to miss the development) where Yuta Okkotsu engages in some trivial missions(compared to the real fight) as his training.

These sequences were kind of a base, formulated, where the newbie learns about the cursed spirits. Also, these situations were crafted by Geto Suguro to land valiantly in the plot.

So, we can conclude that the direction of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was minutely styled, very detailed, intricately involved, and very connecting.

Now tell us what’s your thoughts on the Kyoto fight.

The Music

The impressive music compositions were fashioned so amusingly, that you will feel the melodies, touching your soul deeply. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Alisa Okehazama are members of the team behind those catchy numbers in the movie. Those were just awesome. You will enjoy all the tunes at their very first beat.

The Story

The narrative though appears too dark, and grimy at a superficial level. But if you pay a profound glance at the situation neatly, you might suddenly realize that it is a love story covered in a dark fantasy facade in an extremely refined way.

Yuta Okkutsu assumes that Rika Orimoto has cursed his very being. But the interesting twist at the end definitely brings a positive drama that might actually tear you up. The friendship wanted to grow as an unending adventure which did not happen since Rika faced one of the most brutal deaths one can imagine.

The situation turns strongly dark when Rika changes to being a super-grade Cursed spirit and gets latched to Yuta. This attachment brings turmoil since the cursed spirit loves the boy deeply and crosses any line if required.

This cruel circumstance lands Yuta finally joining Jujutsu High under Gojo and attending the first year with Maki Zennin, Panda, and Toge Inumaki. The very first introduction ends up unpleasant since Gojo chooses to reveal nothing about Yuta’s life and issues to the already first years. Rika appears to protect Yuta and things turn difficult.

Now Yuta adjusts, trains, and grows familiar with the purpose of attending Jujutsu High. However, the presence of Rika winds up gaining attention at a much more severe level. Suguro Geto appears on screen with the intention of killing Yuta and sucking in Rika since she is the queen of curses.

The last 39 minutes of the film, are packed with solid action sequences that are bloody, dark, very cruel, and of course very entertaining. The visuals were crafty, pretty engaging, and obviously glamorous. Watching it on the big screen was sure mesmerizing.

The movie ends with Rika finally getting closure, leaving Yuta for good on a very positive and friendly note which was extremely emotional by the way. Yuta continues his life as a Jujutsu sorcerer along with Maki, Toge, and Panda under Gojo.

What gives the narrative a questionable finish is the end credit scene, where Gojo meets his student amidst a foreign land enjoying a local delicacy with a member of the opponent team Miguel.

So, the story of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was grimy, very deep, pretty exciting, generously interesting, humorous to give the audience the needed chill pills from time to time, quite emotional as well, and last but not least, it was brilliant.

The Characters

Every character involved in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was simply awesome. Yuta was a bullied young teen, who was supposedly cursed, and ended up in numerous massacred situations while creating curse objects a number of times before coming to Jujutsu High. Now, he just grows out of character. Yes, not at a rapid pace, but the gradual change of individuality was simply good.

He was an underconfident fella who was filled with fear, insecurity, dissatisfaction, and more. But his companions and thorough training sessions at Jujutsu High totally change the being. His hidden determinations grow prominent and the once timid guy expands to be strong-willed, inspiring, skillful, and pretty dependable.

At some points, he seems like Yuji for sure but his calm demeanor separates his personality, with whom you will empathize. He is a committed human who is a very warm, reasonable, powerful, and generous fella, whom you will just enjoy in the movie.

As for the 1st years, Maki, Toge, and Pand were their usual self. They were strong, very homely, understanding, a friend in need, and a shoulder to lean on.

Gojo Sensei still remains the talk of the town. His magnetic personality once again stamps his impressive presence in the narrative. This fabulous teacher was typically stealing the spotlight with his thoughts, opinions, and gestures against the conventional sorcerers.

The strongest sorcerer was funny, sincere, scary at times, always handsome, dramatic when needed, free, reasonable, precise, excellent as always, and a big brother to Yuta in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 which is simply cool.

Suguro Geto appeared in the 2020 anime installment, but this time he was one of the leading ones in the movie. He is the villain who has an overwhelming presence in the narrative. He was once a positive influence in the Jujutsu world, however, his no to so friendly outlook toward the civilians now marks him as a friend of the film who was amazing by the way.

Even though he incorporated menacing ways to handle his deals, the love, and support he bestowed upon his family was worth talking about. He is a very powerful, cunning, murderous, miscreant, smoothly fast, honest(only to his missions)dark, brute, and twisty, moreover one heck of a well-written character whom you would just enjoy throughout.

Coming to Rika Orimotoa, she was the cutie who hardly gave off any menacing vibe. Yes, she was very true to her feelings for Yuta and would cross any limitations to protect the being. Her love was just endless. This special grade curse was once referred to as the queen of curses(similar to Sukuna) and it was the chief reason why Geto was seeking out her.

She was an adorably strong, reliable cursed spirit who genuinely had the capacity to wipe out an entire town. In an overview, this cursed spirit was an emotional being who loved Yuta with all of herself and was kind of touchy.

What Else!!

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 had some solid interesting lines that straightforwardly impose an impression. The dialogues were simply deep, sincere, relatable, and of course funny at some proficient angles. Now talking about the visualizations, it was just mind-blowing.

The clear-cut picture presentation of the entire movie purely gave us an awesome wholesome time. Especially the action sequences. Those swift and smooth moves were choreographed so neatly that one would get goosebumps. Yes, the montages were pretty bloody and grim at many angles, but the visualization directly captured the motive.

It was fast, smooth, urgent, and very well-crafted, which were undoubtedly profound.
