The Story

(The Breakdown)

As you already know, it is a legal thriller therefore, the story revolves around a remarkable lawyer, Mickey Haller who is notable in his line of work. Because of his reputation, he incidentally lands on an assignment where his client Louis Ross Roulet, who by his own statement seems not guilty.

Mickey believes him so, however, when he puts a deeper and a closer look at the records of the crime, filed against Louis Ross Roulet, he falls across one of his older cases having the same evidence and patterns. This makes pay a small and quick visit to one of his clients, Jesus Martinez for seeking out a tiny bit of help, who in fact reluctantly(and unknowingly) helps the lawyer out.

His notion against his present client Louis Roulet changes, for he is definitely guilty and now Mickey is in a position where deciding what seems fair for his life gets hazardous. Now, in the process of trapping down his client, he loses one of his friends and lead investigator, Frank Levin. Obviously, Mickey suspects Louis of this foul act and feels infuriated and raged with his job.

But suddenly, there comes a silver lining in the story that generously helps the noble lawyer outsmart the criminal however in a very subtle way. And so, he does and this smoothly helps the lawyer professionally out of the trap and also lands the criminal Louis, getting arrested for his previous heinous crime.

Nonetheless, on his way back home, he receives a call from his wife informing him about Louis being set free because of lack of evidences, which definitely terrifies him. But he tackles the situation pretty wittingly with the help of one of his clients. Now at the end of the movie, it is revealed that Frank Levin was murdered by none other than Louis’s mother and not by Louis.

Just before the credits go up, we watch Mickey getting discharged from the hospital and instantly getting a case to take care of on his way home.

The story of The Lincoln Lawyer(2011) is good, it is a thriller and definitely engaging. You will enjoy the story, although we have just gisted out the primal portion of the narrative. It is a witty, smart story, that might appear intricate at some angles, and of course a great watch.

The Characters

Each of the characters included in the storyline is not pointless. They come with a solid meaning to their establishment in the narrative. Even Earl proved reasonable since he was the one who delivered the gun which came in handy, isn’t it? So how much did you like Mickey in The Lincoln Lawyer(2011)? Do tell us in the comment box below.

He has a class, a sober way to walk, talk and handle deals that he takes up, for this remarkable career as a lawyer. He might seem scum at the beginning of the content, however, you will grow fondness of this individual as we slowly progress with the narrative. He was just awesome. He was an ardent friend, a good, lovable ex-husband but sure a nice lover, dutiful a father(although we watched very little interaction with the kid) a good boss, and sure a proficient lawyer.

Apart from Mickey, the other characters were also, nice, deep, intricate, flawed, reliable, and friendly.

Louis Roulet was a genuine scum on the content. He simply disguised his real crime behind that innocent rich kid’s face. His moment of threats and rage, against Mickey was convincing and to some extent scary as well, since we definitely did not want another Frank Levin scenario by the end of the movie.

The Actors

Each of the talented souls who were cast in the film was too good. They showcased their skills as accomplished actors in this movie, without any doubt. Again hats off to Matthew McConaughey for portraying Mickey Haller so well on screen. He just simply stole the entire movie. He was simply awesome.

The Music

The Lincoln Lawyer(2011) has some cool rap numbers that change the mood of the narrative from time to time. They are catchy, interesting to the instances, captivating, and contradictory to the moments. Additionally, the somber background effects were also nice.
