When Lisa comes across Fujimoto, in front of their home, the weird appearance of the wizard made Lisa judge him. However, she corrects herself on her way to her work since she instantly gets that she was accompanied by her 5-year-old son. Sosuke acknowledges the effort as well. But we also learn that Sosuke genuinely follows the policy of not judging anyone by their look, when his friend calls Ponyo ugly. He was true to his words in front of his mother.
Sosuke Comforts His Mother
When his father fails to keep his promise to return home, he stays calm and reasons out methodically, in fact, his mother was infuriated with the unplanned upsetting situation. He tries his level best to stay at the moment with his mother and father, in his own undemanding way. Again when he finds that his mother is sulking, he puts in the effort to comfort his mother very maturely. He kind of acted very sensibly for his age, right?

Every time Sosuke meets the old ladies from Lisa’s workplace, we find a gentleman and his polite way of talking to the ladies. The boy, after getting a good night’s sleep takes his new friend and his enchanted boat to rescue his mother. Yes, he was very worried, and his stress had a valid point since the entire town went underwater due to the massive tsunami. So, he does what should, he sets off to get to his mother.

Sosuke definitely loved human Ponyo more than her fish form. Well, he knows loving someone is a great responsibility, but he genuinely agrees to love Ponyo back, knowing her true identity, which was kind of amazing and mature.
