The Story
The story of this fantasy Studio Ghibli project narrates an adventuresome quest of a rebel kid Ponyo who could not care less to leave her home and meet the boy who loved and cherished their very little time, Sosuke. She just wants to stay with the human kid, and enjoy some good times like whatever life introduces her on her journey in the human realm.
The story might seem very natural, but the hidden small things like the sweet romance between the parents, the topic of good parenting, the concerned caretakers, and definitely the warm and cordial friendship that blossoms and grows deep with the plot is what Ponyo stores.
Another underlying issue that Ponyo narrates is that, humans inadvertently are damaging the natural ecosystem, which one may find common in every Studio Ghibli movie, right?

Ponyo projects a very minimalistic graphics which prominently look like crayon paintings by some talented kid. The Constant Clashes
Fujimoto was undoubtedly one of the sweetest characters in the movie however he did not share a good bond with his daughters. Ponyo being the eldest showed too many issues with him. Yes, she was just a kid, but watching a loving father getting wronged all the time might make you not happy.
