The Story
The story revolves around an island, where people have hardly anything to engage in, apart from paying regular visits to the church and carrying on their day-to-day assignments to make their living. They live a typical island life which will amuse you though. There are different types of people, from being mean to very generous, from old to young, from good to evil. Yes, the village population ranks versatile.
But suddenly the calm atmosphere of the habitation takes a 360-degree change, when the new priest walks in, replacing the old one(however in a temporary order). Things turn extremely positive miraculously. Well, human lives are full of ups and downs but the life of the islanders was only going ups after the arrival of the new pastor.
The non-believers of the church also somehow begin attending the Sunday masses to start their new set of life. It was all going great, until…
The story is engrossing, deep, intricate, and very enthralling. You will be hooked to the content once the story takes its pace.
The Music
The subtle yet vehement background scores are something worth the praise. In fact, the pieces of music in the show were the sole reason that added vigor to the montages and sequences. Basically, they were apt, amplifying the show on a serious note.
The Casts
Well, most of the faces have already made an impression by their performances in the ‘The Haunting Of Hill House‘ and ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor‘, such as Kate Siegel, Annabeth Gish, Henry Thomas, Rahul Kohli, Robert Longstreet, Michael Trucco (you have seen him in The Big Bang Theory). Other than them, there are some more talented artists in the show. The direction procedure is skilled, hence you will be pushed to watch the show from the character’s perspectives. But again the casts of the show did an amazing job in sinking into their roles thus making their parts significant and absolutely promising.
The Direction
Mike Flanagan is a talented individual who again proved his dexterity through this show. His minute direction of this eerie story turned out to be amazing and flawless. The Cinematography
The camera angles added depth to the montages, which gave meaning to the hard work put up by the honorable cast and crews of the show. All credit goes to Michael Fimognari. He definitely proved his prowess through this horror series.

The beautiful narrative of the plot is amplified by the characters of the show. Each of the characters introduced holds their unique position and thus has the meaning and purpose of their creation. Mike Flanagan believes in a slow development of the plot to add details with the progression. However, this sometimes might act as diverting. You might get swayed.
