Things You May Like About The Haunting Of Bly Manor

The Actors:

You get to see those talented casts, that worked together in its predecessor venture which is ‘The Haunting Of Hill House‘. They showed their skill in portraying each of the characters wonderfully adding gravity to the roles, (before and, once again) in this show. They were amazing together, as well as individually.

The Production Team:

The production team did an amazing job in designing the eerie atmosphere of the series. Once again Mike Flanagan and his directorial project, awestruck the audiences. Brian Jeremiah Smith and Mike Flanagan also worked together as editors for the show where they get assisted by James Kniest and Maxime Alexandre as the project’s honorable cinematographers making the show breathtaking. The camerawork, the dialogues, and the background scores were perfectly blended, making it a masterpiece that you will cherish forever.

The Characters:

Each of the characters of the drama had its own individuality. Be it the kids or the adults, you will love the humans, based on their personality and the uniqueness, they showed throughout the series. Also, they were well-crafted individuals, who displayed basic human attributes neatly. You will find them flawed, distinguished, homely, friendly, warm, and mostly, relatable.

The Story :

So, the story takes place in an old, yet rich country house called the Bly manor. A young au pair gets recruited by a man who is not able to settle down with his nephew and niece. During the course of her stay, she befriends the kids along with the other employees of the state. Additionally, she begins to witness apparitions, shadows, and more such, running around the corners of the manor. The story is just an adaptation of the actual literary work by Henry James with many alterations in the plot, but definitely, the changes made in the series were brilliant thus transforming the storyline into something awesome and one of its kind.

The Pace

Although directed by talented hands, the intended slow progression of the plot might be a bit distracting. You get to experience the real magic of Mike Flanagan when the series reaches its 6th-7th episode. Now, if you hold your patience by then, then you are about to get some real deal from the plot.

Other than its slow advancement predicament, The Haunting of Bly Manor has nothing negative. It is an amazing show that will be remembered even after a decade or so.
