He was a cry baby and scary cat who preferred to hide and wail, all the time. He was obviously not proud of his doings but he is a guy whom we adore, care and love too.

Well, he is the genuine softy of this trio. He was frustrated with all the delay since he simply could not find any trace of demonic presence in the Kyogoku house. But when the right moment arrived he stood closest to Daki. Terrified definitely, but he did what was needed and was right.
He supported the victim little girl and without any fear, confronted the situation with the demon. He was not at all afraid of whatever consequence waited for this brave act.

When Insokue was trapped and his hands were too less to tackle the stressful situation he gets backed up by Suma and Makio. This completes his mission of course, however, what stuns him was Zenitsu making an awesome entrance to help his friend out. Though he was sleepwalking, still proved himself worthy as a demon slayer.
