Mitsuya from Tokyo Revengers aka Mitsuya Takashi the 2nd Squad leader, plays an important role in the foundation of the Tokyo Manji Gang from the very initial days. However, still, it is felt might feel, that very little of this character is explored in the debut season of the anime.

Just like Draken, Mitsuya also covers for Takemichi numerous times in the show. Their first interaction proceeds when he backs up Takemichi when some bullies, bully him.
His first impression itself gave a sigh of relief since he saves our Cry Baby hero from unwanted bashes. Just like this very instance, we find other moments in the show where Mitsuya backs up the other members of TOMAN from time to time.
Further, during the messy Bloody Haloween arc as well, we find Mitsuya sharing his shoulder with Takemichi amidst the physical squabble which was kind of brotherly and certainly cordial.
He Is A Friend In Need
Since he is another founder just like, Baji, Mikey, Pah, and Draken, his friendship with Mikey, therefore, go, way back long. We watch Mitsuya pick up Mikey from the hospital after their visit to the victimized Pah’s friend. This definitely gives us an area of assumption as to what sort of friendship does these two share? Is it similar to the one with Draken or the one with Baji?

Mitsuya met Takemichi pretty late, but he trusted his “instinct” of the parking lot and blindly followed him in his direction. His reasoning out capability made him lay faith over this new friend of Draken and Mikey very soon upon which he never regretted though.
In addition to this, in many instances on the anime, you will find this silver-haired boy, showcasing many dependable gestures that make this dude a genuine TOMAN leader.
Further, he was the one who gave Peh a second chance and took back the traitor and reciprocated friendship.
While Mikey includes Kisaki in the gang, the impulsive move made by Takemichi was triggering for the members of the gang. This time too, Mitsuya backs up the Cry Baby and stops Baji from bashing Takemichi.
He Cares For Every One
He was worried thus could not help but listen to the conversation between Mikey and Takemichi, after Baji spontaneously leaves TOMAN. This action however gets a shocking reward from Mikey though. Takemichi joins Mitsuya’s squad which was kind of a good and kind of a bad situation for both the leader and the new joinee, and we all know why?
Being a squad leader is not a trivial duty, therefore we find, Mitsuya saving Takemichi’s back from time to time during the clash of Valhalla and TOMAN.

Mitsuya Knows How To Appreciate
It so happened that the gang members lost faith in the fight and started to back down. Our Cry baby shook them up when he charged at the opponent crying but with a heavy responsible aura. This not only moved the thugs but also the captains including Mitsuya and Draken bringing them back on the motion.
Well of course just like all the other times, Takemichi was oblivious of his contribution to the fight. But Mitsuya brought this into the light. The naive yet mature move Takemichi made to bring everyone back on track was impressive indeed.
Later in the anime, we also find, Mitsuya showing his appreciation to this Cry baby by fabricating the TOMAN uniform for Takemichi. He was very grateful since Takemichi was the one who helped the leaders come out from the tranced rogue state. Therefore he took the responsibility of weaving the uniform for this new member.
TOTT’s Take On Mitsuya From Tokyo Revengers
Well, he is definitely the soberest TOMAN leader that played an important role in establishing TOMAN what it was back then. He is a leader, a guardian, a protector, a friend, a guide, and an influencer who despite sharing the least amount of screen time, engraved a position in viewers’ hearts.

Mitsuya definitely knows his game and finely ingrained his leadership duty amongst the others in the anime. His soft and polite way to handle matters was impressive. Additionally, this silver-haired dude naturally oozed out a dependable vibe, that not only made Takemichi lean upon his former squad leader but also made us trust this guy amidst the messy unpredictable chaos breakout inside TOMAN.
He is a soft-spoken, gentle guy, who tackled matters in the most non-aggressive way possible, totally different from the others. He respected Mikey as the commander of TOMAN while treated him as a friend as and when the time was appropriate.
