Dota: Dragon’s Blood Book 1 was premiered on 25th March 2021 and the next season has arrived as well and currently streaming on Netflix that was launched on 18th January 2022. It is a Netflix Orignal Anime that is different and has the capacity to take you on an interesting ride.

This Netflix Original is based on the 2013 MOBA video game titled DOTA 2 which was published and developed by Valve. The anime series is developed under Studio Mir under the guidance of Ashley Edward Miller and her brand Kaiju Boulevard, whereas the animation of the series is finely developed by Production Reeve.

Dota: Dragon’s Blood Book 1: The Brief

The anime begins projecting the bravery followed by a celebration, in regards to the courageous act, shown by Davion the Dragon Knight. The story is about Davion the Dragon Knight and his quest to find the answers to an encounter with an Elder Dragon Slyrak. He is accompanied by Mirana, Merci, and Fymryn. With their trips taken in the show, we come across several new knots giving purpose to their adventures.

The pace is seriously slow, which might be a bummer but you will definitely yet slowly discover many shades and corners of the anime leading you to enjoy the anime, ultimately.

So, Book 1 is all about Dragons, their existential value to hold the human realm. Then there are Gods and Goddesses, ruling the specific sections of Elven lives. Then there is a whole lot of fantasy, magic, demon, and bravery, that was showcased by both the leads and the side kicks.

The male lead Davion the Dragon Knight might give off an initial flamboyant appearance, however as we move with the series we understand his way of the world and his issues concerning his position that plays an important role in the anime.

The female lead on the other hand is pretty reliable and much more powerful than one can imagine. She appears adamant, determined, and very courageous who knows what her goals and ambitions are.

The other characters such as Merci and Fymryn adds importance to their quest.

Precisely there is a whole lot to enjoy in Dota: Dragon’s Blood. You should definitely give this anime a try when you are free.

The Good

The story is well written and definitely has the capacity to engage you if you want to learn what is the end of the story.

The characters are deep, and each of them will make you understand that life is definitely hard, and to survive, it is pretty obvious that you make mistakes.

The animation is nice and the background score is well suited to the sequences.

The Bad

The slow pace of the series is a grave bummer.

You will get distracted every now and then.

The direction of the anime is not at all satisfying. It is easy hence the depth a typical anime holds is missing in this plot.

Although all the characters are made strong, still you won’t feel any connection to any, because of the quick direction presented in the series.

Dota: Dragon’s Blood is neither a good nor a bad series, you should definitely give this show a try to come to your own conclusion. However, if you stay focused and try your patience to stick to it till the end then you will definitely browse for the new season in line.
