What’s your take on the Mugen Train ARC? Thank you Koyoharu Gotouge the honorable creator of Demon Slayer: Kimestu no Yaiba for taking us on this adventuresome ride with all the other geeks out there. Sad I don’t have time to go through chapters one by one, however, I am an ardent devotee of this anime series. So, when the first season ended with 26 episodes, showing the trio taking up a new mission, we all waited.

Then came the much-awaited movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, that released on 16th October 2020. But Ufotable thought ‘why stop here?’ Hence it took the responsibility of astonishing the fan base once again with the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train ARC. A special thanks to Netflix, since the platform helped us fans to ease up the anime experience altogether.
Lisa is back with two stunning playbacks that would win your heart once again. Both the opening [Akeboshi] and the ending[Shirogane] are awesome. In fact, each episode gets numerous extra shots that will connect the missing links making the whole anime more astounding and emotionally deep.
A special mention of the action sequence between Akaza and Rengoku. The movie has nothing in comparison to the series. You need to make sure that you keep your mobile phones at bay while enjoying the battle sequence of these two fighters. You will be mesmerized by the brilliant job done by Ufotable. You will be surprised to see the awesome choreography of this fight.
The glad news is that only a few days are left for the next installment to drop which is the Entertainment District Arc. But before that, let us brush our memories with some of the emotional moments from Demon Slayer: Mugen Train ARC. Getting a hold on those bright and shiny amazing and scary moments from the anime is good. But looking back on what made us take a long breath will help us pay respect to the characters and their efforts in making us emotional and connected with the plot.
N.B: If you haven’t watched the series yet, make sure that you do, then come back to see if your choices match ours or not…

Top 8 Emotional Moments From Demon Slayer: Mugen Train ARC
Staying open-minded with the ranking let us begin the countdown with-
8. The Boy With Tuberculosis
He enters Tanjiro’s subconscious realm but fails terribly. He just cannot work on the plan he was assigned with. The serene ambiance that Tanjiro’s subconscious shows him melts him completely. He gets purified from the evil thoughts he held till now. He even confesses that he was ready to hurt anyone before he came across the spiritual core of Tanjiro. The warmth that Tanjiro’s subconscious realm displayed was enough to divert him from his actual intention. He thanks Tanjiro and asks him to take care.

7. The Granny And Her Memory
In episode 1 we get to learn how awesome the fire-breathing Hashira Rengoku Sama is. But we also get to learn that he is completely following his father’s footsteps. The way he takes care of the Ripper and the way he finishes off the act of execution took the granny down her memory lane. It was 20 years back, but the way Rengoku stood and handled his sword not only looked awesome but also gave the audience the idea of how proud he is of his father and his occupation.

He nurtures the same belief and acts righteously. He moves gallantly paying homage to his father and letting us know that the previous fire-breathing Hashira did the same thing which is saving the granny and her daughter 20 years prior to this incident.

6. Renguku Bids Adeu At The Station
Kyōjurō Rengoku was assigned the task of investigating the mysterious events concerning the Mugen train. The fatality rate rose up so much that the department was forced to stop the train and was held back in the shed. Kyōjurō Rengoku after solving the paranormal events, bids adieu to the bento seller duo. With a smiling face, he gladly accepts the whole lot from the bento seller and states that he hopes to meet them once again. He even says once he meets up with his father he will definitely talk about this encounter to him. This is sad and emotional since we all know what has fate decided for him.

5. Kyujuro and Senjuro’s Conversation
In the dream, Kyujuro meets his father and his younger brother. He narrates his promotional news to his father, to which his father shows no excitement, in fact, he demotivates him. However Kyujuro is not a spoilt sport, so he pays no hid to what his father says. On his way back, he meets his younger brother. The conversation between the sibling is emotional.

He guides the kid and assures him that his big brother will always support him no matter what he decides to take up in the future. This really makes your eye teary since as a human, everyone out there needs someone who will believe in their goals and ambition. Well, Senjuro is lucky enough that his big brother is there for him right? However, this scenario never happens in reality which is kind of depressing.
4. Tanjiro Is Back With Family
The series Demon Slayer: Kimestu no Yaiba begins throwing a horrific light on Tanjiro’s family. While riding the Mugen train, he along with his comrades enters a happy dream realm where Tanjiro is united back with his family. The scene is emotional since he finds his little sister and brother on his way to his home. He runs and hugs both of his siblings and cries heavily. It seems that fate has bestowed upon him a new chance to ensure that he gets to protect his family with any sort of uncertainty this time.

3. Tanjiro Leaving His Family
Once realizing that this is not at all real, he decides to leave since this delusion can harm his reality for good. Also, his motive to change back Nezuko into a human will not end on a good note if he gets trapped in this fake but happy world forever.

Hence he runs from the world he cherishes when his whole family stands back. But just on the way, he meets his sister Nezuko. He gets fixated. Also, his siblings run after him to know what is wrong, and why is he running afar from them.

The heart-wrenching moment arrives when his youngest brother Rokuta craves for Tanjiro to stay back with them. Without leaving any proper explanation Tanjiro runs away with a heavy heart.
2. Enmu Makes Tanjiro Rewatch The Deathly Scene Once Again But With a Slight Twist
Tanjiro’s determination is intense. When he aims for something, he leaves his soft side behind. Also, Enmu was desperate to make Tanjiro fall for the dream trap once again.

All thanks to Tanjiro’s father appearing all cryptic in his dream. His sudden appearance and guiding lines made Tanjiro escape from the dream world.

A small credit should be given to Nezuko as well in this regard. But Enmu gets desperate with every second and traps Tanjro down with a nightmare where he is blamed by his family and his father too. They blame him for being the sole survivor of the massacre that befell the family.

But Tanjiro knows his family too well, thus he breaks the dream charm very fast shocking Enmu.
1.The Last and the Ultimate, Kyōjurō Rengoku’s Demise With A Smile
The young lad sure surprised the trio that made them fans of this fire-breathing Hashira in this small journey. But the promise made by this amazing Hashira gets shattered within hours. Rengoku promised to train these new demon slayers and mentor them to fight the upcoming uneventful scenarios in the future. With Akaza coming to the scene things took a 360-degree turn. Just when Enmu disintegrates and we find out that the passengers in the train are unharmed, there comes another danger.

With Tanjiro being injured and Nezuko along with Zenitsu not being on the spot, the entire ambiance seems uncertain. In addition, the action sequence between Renguku and Akaza was so fast, that Inosuke felt insecure to drop by and assist the fire Hashira. Besides. both the young boys were instructed to not hinder the dual.

Rengoku had the situation well grasped, however, the last blow broke everything. Still, we found Kyōjurō fighting gallantly till Tanjro storms in with Akaza escaping the scene because of sun rise.

Kyujuro instructs, Tanjiro to visit the Rengoku household and catch up with decrees left by previous Flame Hashiras. There he might get the answers concerning Hinokami Kagura. In addition, he asks Tanjiro to tell his younger brother to walk the path he wants and ask his father to take good care of himself. Also, he says that he believes Nejzuko and accepts her as a member of the Demon Slayer corps.
The pale yet hopeful smile on Rengoku’s face breaks the audience. He accepts his fate with courage. In addition, his inspirational and motivational thoughts to keep the trio in a positive and motivational mood were again something very mature on his part.
Further his vision of his mother smiling, really made us teary, right?? He just became a kid to his mother in that very instance.

Concluding With A Smile
Kyōjurō Rengoku is that anime character that stole the heart of the viewers with just one movie and a single arc. His presence from the very first instance made us hopeful and stay patient for the outcome. His performance throughout the Mugen train Arc was mesmerizingly amazing. He protected all the 200 passengers and was extraordinarily good, which even made Inosuke obey his orders without hesitation.
We even see Tanjiro crying holding his heart that sure shows how much painful it was for Tanjiro to see a Hashira die without any assistance. Till his last breath, the young lad tried to inspire the trio which was not only depressing but also very much heart aching.

His death sure brought an emotional end to the season but we found out that he is a real hero amongst his comrades and fellow Hashira’s too. The only thing that remains unsolved till now is that he failed to inform his family especially his father about his promotion as a Hashira. Let’s see what happens with the next season. Do the anime watchers get to see what remained unanswered in this season or not?
But this is all for today. Let us know if the list is satisfying or not? Also, if we missed anything important, please do let us know in the comment section right down.
BYE BYE, for now, hope we met very soon… TATA…
